SPOTLIGHT 1: Isabella
Grace Stables would like to spotlight a very special volunteer and donor, Isabella Vallance. Isabella, 11, is a year 6 student at Dulwich College in Seoul. She had informed Grace Stables a few months ago that she was working on a special Year 6 project, and that she wanted to volunteer and raise money for the Grace Stables outreach events. Isabella attended our events, where she played with young children from a welfare home, baked them delicious cupcakes, and even donated toys for them, which they absolutely cherished! Isabella also worked diligently running a “Snack Shack” during weekend school events. She sold home-made treats, other snacks, coffee, hot chocolate and cold drinks to the children and parents at the events. She did this every weekend when there was a school event over a period of a few months. She worked hard, and always with a big smile on her face. Last week, Isabella donated 500,000won to Grace Stables. This donation will supply the finances needed for an extra summer program for under-privileged children. Isabella mentioned that she chose Grace Stables because she was looking for a way to help children or families in the local community and really liked the idea that Grace Stables makes a fun opportunity for the children to come and have a joyful time with the horses. She simply stated “I was very happy to help.” Grace Stables sincerely thanks you, Isabella, for being a huge part of bringing joy and healing to the Korean community. You are an amazing young lady and we can’t wait to update you on all the happiness this summer’s events will bring to others because of your generous heart.
